RCPCH
International
The RCPCH International acts as the College reference point for
the numerous RCPCH activities outside the UK. Its primary
role is to educate and support paediatricians
overseas and is establishing a network of postgraduate events
across the world to promote appropriate best practice in the health
of children and adolescents.

Many members of the College have strong links with other
organisations that work on
an international level and contribute to many
activities. This includes clinical service, education of
health professionals, medical aid and disaster relief.
RCPCH International Strategy
Following the expansion of the RCPCH
International programme in May 2006, an International Strategy has
been developed by the College to act as a framework to guide its

News: GAZA
Members and Fellows of the College will be aware that RCPCH has
a long-standing project training Palestinian doctors. We have
worked closely with MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians) during the
course of the project and support their aim of improving the health
of Palestinians, and in particular of the children who make up half
of the population of Palestine.
In view of the current situation in Gaza, MAP has
launched an emergency appeal to provide medicines and medical
equipment for the people of Gaza. If you would like to
donate to this appeal please visit the
MAP website
David Baum International Foundation
In 2001, the David Baum International Foundation (DBIF) was
established within the College to improve the health of children in
disadvantaged areas of the world, by improving standards of
education and training for health professionals working in
paediatrics and child health.
Royal Colleges' International Forum
The Royal Colleges' International Forum (RCIF) was
set up in 1998 to bring together those involved in international
activity from medical, nursing, industrial and non-governmental
organisations. The RCIF provides a useful opportunity for
International Officers and Co-ordinators of the Medical Royal
Colleges to liaise on international matters especially those
relating to training, examinisation and workforce issues.
International Child Health
Group
The International Child
Health Group (ICHG) is a special interest group of the
RCPCH, open to all with a professional interest in advancing child
health internationally, from research to advocacy.
