The RCPCH Education Department (ED) can be subdivided into three distinct but complimentary areas:

• Revalidation & Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Projects and Programmes
• Events and Courses

Through a variety of CPD activities the ED supports, encourages and develops paediatricians at all stages of their career. The ED also seeks to improve child health by providing programmes that reach other healthcare professionals and the public.

• Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Revalidation
  Administers the College's CPD scheme, and is currently managing the Revalidation Programme (relicensing and recertification); ensuring doctors are fit to practice.
  
  
• Projects & Programmes
  Develops training projects and programmes to ensure competency throughout the profession
  
  
• Events & Courses
  Organises a calendar of events and courses to deliver the outcomes/products of the many projects and programmes within the ED portfolio.
