About Media Affairs at RCPCH

The RCPCH aims to make the general public, stakeholders, the media and Parliament (including the Scottish Parliament and National Assembly for Wales) aware of the issues facing the world of paediatrics. Workforce, regulation of doctors and obesity are a few topics within the spectrum of subjects that the RCPCH is involved in.

On a daily basis, the press office answers enquiries from journalists and documentary makers, and provides background information, comments, or interviews.

The press office holds a list of paediatricians - the Press Panel - who are willing to speak to the media about their area of expertise, on subjects ranging from Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

In addition to handling press enquiries about the College's work and paediatrics, we also provide a press office function to the British Paediatric Surveillance Unit - BPSU

During working hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, please contact the press office on 020 7092 6006 or 020 7092 6005, or email press.office@rcpch.ac.uk

Outside working hours, please call the press office number and you will be directed to an on-call telephone number.
