The survey was an important first step to provide the data needed
to inform the commissioning of resources for diabetes care and
drive service improvements.
As well as establishing the total number of
children and young people with diabetes the project is informing
the development of the next stage of the National Diabetes Audit
and discussions regarding the potential establishment of a national
register of childhood diabetes.
Data Collection
DATA COLLECTION HAS NOW FINISHED
Links to the online survey form were sent to lead Paediatric
Diabetes Clinician and the lead Clinician for Adult Diabetes in
every hospital in England.
