The National Collaborating Centre for Women's and Children's
Health (NCC-WCH) is one of four national collaborating centres
commissioned by NICE to develop national guidelines.
The children's section of the NCC-WCH produces
guidelines relating to child health. These include:
The RCPCH works closely with the NCC-WCH to
help ensure guidelines are developed to meet the needs of children.
This is ensured through the following:
- NCC-WCH representation on the RCPCH Quality of
Practice Committee
- RCPCH representation on the NCC-WCH Board and Executive
Committee
- Alerting College members to opportunities to contribute to the
development of child health guidelines
- Promoting and disseminating the key messages of
NCC-WCH guidelines to College members through our
website
