National Collaborating Centre for Women's and Children's Health

The National Collaborating Centre for Women's and Children's Health (NCC-WCH) is one of four national collaborating centres commissioned by NICE to develop national guidelines.

The children's section of the NCC-WCH produces guidelines relating to child health. These include:

  • Atopic eczema in children
  • Meningitis in children
  • Feverish Illness in children

The RCPCH works closely with the NCC-WCH to help ensure guidelines are developed to meet the needs of children. This is ensured through the following:

  • NCC-WCH representation on the RCPCH Quality of Practice Committee
  • RCPCH representation on the NCC-WCH Board and Executive Committee
  • Alerting College members to opportunities to contribute to the development of child health guidelines
  • Promoting and disseminating the key messages of NCC-WCH guidelines to College members through our website

For more information about the NCC-WCH, and to find out opportunities to join their guideline development groups, please visit the NCC-WCH website.
