What is ePortfolio?
- An online learning tool for trainees
Trainees can track their progress, keep a log of their activities,
record the skills and knowledge they have gained and assessments
they have taken.
- An online assessment tool for educational
supervisors
Supervisors can monitor the progress of their trainees, record
meetings, complete assessments and trainers' reports.
- A record of progress through
training
Trainees' progress, including online
assessment and supervision forms for each post, will be entered on
ePortfolio and signed off in an ARCP each year.
- A central source of information for all those involved
in training
ePortfolio contains details of the curriculum and assessments
required at each stage of training, templates for Personal
Development Plans and areas for reflective learning.
Copies of all the various declarations and supervision forms
required for each stage of training are also kept here.
Where do I log in to ePortfolio?
Use this link to log in to your ePortfolio account or retrieve
your password.
How do I get an ePortfolio account?
Trainees must be enrolled with the College to
be allocated an ePortfolio account.
Educational Supervisors requiring an ePortfolio
account should contact their local deanery
administrator, who is able to set up supervisors' accounts and
link them to their trainees.
What if I need help using ePortfolio?
Each deanery has allocated a local champion and
deanery administrator to provide support for local enquiries.
The College will also assist with enquiries and any technical
difficulties encountered. If you have a technical problem or
an enquiry about your account, please use the "ePortfolio
enquiries" section within your account and create a new
enquiry or email the
ePortfolio team
Is ASSET the same as ePortfolio?
ASSET is the tool for completion of assessments
online (CbD, DOPs, etc). It is a separate system and
website from ePortfolio. Assessments are pulled from ASSET
to ePortfolio.
Privacy and confidentiality
Trainees can choose which entries in their ePortfolio logs can
be shared with their supervisor or kept private.
NB Please ensure that no patient
identifiable information is stored within your ePortfolio to ensure
that we are all compliant with regulations.
