This report was published
on 1 October 2009 and contains important summary information from
the results of both the Trainees' Survey and the Trainers' Survey
which were completed earlier this year.
It provides analysis of
themes that emerged from the data nationally, including some
comparison of the different specialties.
For paediatrics, an
important finding in this report was that paediatrics as a
specialty had the highest percentage of trainee respondents who
were unable to attend programmed regional training sessions due to
service commitments. (Chapter 2, Chart 2.1). This
raises a concern which needss to be investigated at both deanery
and individual trust level.
