The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health wins £2 million grant to reduce under-five mortality in Africa

Thousands of children in East and West Africa are set to benefit from two groundbreaking projects run by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) following successful funding bids worth £1.03 m and £835,000.

Both grants are being provided by the UK’s Department for International Development as part of the Health Partnership Scheme run by the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET).

24/7 consultant-delivered care a ‘must’ for effective NHS, says new report

Paediatrics leads the way with Consultant Delivered Care – a model which provides the best outcomes for patients.

Patients would receive far better care if they had access to a senior doctor (consultant) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, says a report published today by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
