Paediatric Case Based Discussion (ePaedCbD)

ePaedCbD is a workplace based assesment tool for paediatric run-through trainees that has been designed to assess clinical reasoning and decision-making. 

MRCPCH Setting Boards and Examinations Executive Committee Board Meetings

Board meetings are held three times a year, normally in March, July and November. Board members and examiners are invited to help in setting examination papers and scenarios. This includes editing and signing off future examination papers, reviewing new questions, vice-chair meetings for Part 1 and Part 2 and the executive committee meetings. 

Paediatric Mini Clinical Evaluation Exercise (ePaedMiniCEX)

ePaedMiniCeX is a workplace based assessment tool for Paediatric run-through trainees and is designed to provide feedback on skills essential to the provision of good clinical care in a UK Paediatric setting.

The Tony Jackson Memorial Prize

Overview

The Tony Jackson Memorial Prize encourages UK medical students and new graduates to take up a career in Paediatrics. It is open to undergraduate medical students in the UK and Ireland, and doctors in their first post.

Dr Michael Blacow Memorial Prize

Overview

The Michael Blacow Memorial Fund was established when Commander and Mrs A H Blacow made a donation to the British Paediatric Association in memory of their son, Michael, a trainee paediatrician who was killed in an accident.

The College awards £200 to a paediatrician below consultant status for the best paper at the Annual Meeting.

Donald Court Visiting Fellowship

Fellowship overview

The Donald Court Travel Fund was established in 1996 in memory of Professor Donald Court, former President of the British Paediatric Association.

The RCPCH and BACCH (British Association for Community Child Health) run the programme and award one Visiting Fellowship in community paediatrics every year.
