Data collection begins - October 2012

RCPCH consultant members in all UK countries are receiving monthly emails from the project team, requesting notifications of cases meeting the review inclusion criteria.

Child Health Reviews-UK programme launched - May 2012

The launch event of the programme was held at the college on 8 May, with speakers including Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, Dr Sheila Shribman and Professor Terence Stephenson.

Confidential case review theme announced - March 2012

The theme of the confidential case review of mortality and morbidity to be undertaken as part of the CHR-UK programme has been announced.

The review will examine aspects of care received by children and young people between their 1st and 18th birthdays with epilepsy, at all stages of the care pathway including emergency and primary care.

RCPCH awarded the child health component of the Clinical Outcome Review Programme - October 2011

RCPCH have been awarded the contract for this programme of work through an open and competitive tendering process.

The child health component of the Clinical Outcome Review Programme is a two-year programme, being run between 1 October 2011 and 30 September 2013. The data collection period for the themed confidential case review will run between 1 June 2012 and 31 March 2013.

During this period we will be inviting paediatricians and other healthcare professionals to notify us of cases of mortality or serious morbidity which meet the review inclusion criteria.
