Mapping services

We are currently mapping the UK in order to provide a pragmatic network of tertiary and secondary level services. We have established 20 consultant paediatric neurologist links and asked them to suggest how they might define associated secondary 'audit units'.

All 'hospital' and 'community' paediatricians and paediatric services will be represented in an 'audit unit'.

This draft map shows potential 'audit units' and the location of their tertiary services. All 'audit units' in one region share the same colour. Each 'audit unit' is positioned at an identifiable geographical location rather than a 'hospital' or 'community-based' service. Each 'audit unit' will comprise of all relevant acute and community paediatricians and paediatric services in that area.

The map is still in the process of being compiled and will be finalised shortly.
