Education Centre Appeal updates
Appeal launched on 21 March 2012 at St James's Palace
The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has launched an appeal that is set to transform the future of paediatric training both in the UK and abroad.
More than 100 guests, including HRH The Princess Royal, Patron of the College, President of RCPCH, Professor Terence Stephenson and RCPCH Youth Advisory Panel Member Ellie Milner, attended the Education Centre Supporters’ Event, at St James’s Palace on Wednesday 21 March 2012.
The event, organised by the RCPCH, hoped to inspire attendees to donate or pledge support for the Education Centre Appeal.
The Centre will provide education of the highest standard, equipping paediatricians with a first-class skill base that can be put into practise in their local area. The versatile space will host round-the-clock access to educational resources, blending new technologies such as e-learning and video–conferencing with face-to-face delivery, to train paediatricians and healthcare professionals. It will have a truly global reach.
