Patients and parents give their views on children's diabetes care

Children with URL how are we doing

We received more than 7,500 responses from patients and their families about their experiences of children's diabetes care in England and Wales. The responses will help local units continue to improve their services.

About the surveys and findings

We ran two surveys over six months in 2015-16. One survey was for young patients who receive care in a children's diabetes unit, and one for their parents and carers.

These surveys were a type of Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM). This means they measured the experiences of patients and their families.

We are sharing the anonymised responses for each unit where five or more surveys were returned.

Each of these reports compares the unit's results with:

  • the average results of other units
  • the average results of other units in the region (if available)
  • the previous results of the unit (if available).

Note: If the unit has a small number of responses, do please interpret these with caution. It may not be possible to make a valid comparison of findings from these units.
