Register for training (for current members)

If you are a current RCPCH member, you can add registration for training. Available to doctors in paediatric specialty training roles, registration for training gives you access to RCPCH ePortfolio as well as further resources to support your career.

Training fee per year (additional to your membership subscriptions)

  • In a GMC-approved run-through training post - £206 (£103 for less than full time training)
  • Others - £106 (£65 for less than full time training)

About

The RCPCH is responsible for the monitoring of postgraduate specialty training in paediatrics in the UK in line with the General Medical Council's (GMC) 'Gold Guide'.

Requirements

If you are a paediatric trainee in a GMC-approved run-through training post, you must be registered for training.

If you are a paediatric trainee in a LAT (locum appointed for training) post, you are are encouraged to register for training. Our assessment tools are useful to record your progression, especially if you are considering applying to specialty training in the future.

If you are a SpR (Calman trainee) who has reached your CCT (certificate of completion of training) on or after 31 August 2015, you must transfer to the 2010 curriculum and register for training.

RCPCH membership

You need to be an RCPCH member in order to register for training.

This option is available for current RCPCH members who wish to add registration for training.

Concessions

If you are on maternity leave or are working less than full time for 6 months or more, you may request a concession on your training fee and/or membership subscription.

You can request a concession in the online application form, or after you have submitted your application.
