Government backtracks to hand maternity to GPs - 9 November 2010
RCOG/RCM/RCPCH Statement on story 'Government backtracks to hand maternity to GPs' (Health Service Journal(HSJ), 8 November 2010) - 9 November 2010
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) are extremely concerned by the reports that the commissioning of maternity services will now be undertaken by GP Consortia rather than the National Commissioning Board, as proposed in the White Paper.
