Membership benefit of the month - RCPCH Christmas Lecture

Each year members are invited to this free event which features keynote speakers, festive refreshments and an opportunity to network with colleagues.

Take a look at this year’s Christmas Lecture below, which was delivered on 2 December by Professor Sir Michael Marmot, author of Fair Society, Healthy Lives (the ‘Marmot Review’) and a world-leading expert on health inequalities.

In his most recent book, The Health Gap, Professor Marmot argues that social injustice is killing 200,000 people in the UK every year. His talk for the RCPCH highlighted the powerful link between early child development, education, working conditions, aging and health and he shared his programme of evidence-based ideas that he says could save lives.

Over 80 members attended the lecture in person at our London offices, with others tuning in to watch a live streaming from Northern Ireland and Scotland.
