Schools will be trained to spot mental illness in pupils

Every secondary school will be offered training on how to identify and help children who are suffering from depression and anxiety in a bid to stop mental illness from “destroying” lives.

Theresa May will announce today, according to The Daily Telegraph. The Prime Minister will warn that unless young people are given the support they need, mental illness can become “entrenched” for the rest of their lives, “blighting” their futures and creating years of unnecessary suffering.
