St Andrew's Day Symposium 2023

This Symposium took place on 10 November 2023. It was hosted by Dr Umair Khan and in collaboration with RCPE, RCPSG, RCPCH and SACCH.

We welcome applications from paediatricians, medical students and professions of other healthcare disciplines working in Scotland or with an affiliation to Scotland who are considering a career in Paediatrics or demonstrated a commitment to child health in Scotland.
Our principal purpose is to promote the health of children in Scotland - through educational meetings and funds for junior staff to travel to international meetings. We are governed by the SPS Executive Committee under the leadership of the SPS President.
Founded in 1922, SPS was the first Paediatric Society in the UK. Since the beginning, we have been about sharing and advancing knowledge in paediatrics. We provide a look back at our history.

Climate change is a major risk to children and young people, but positive health benefits could accrue from changes to the way we generate energy, reduce waste and improve air quality.
