Registration for training
All paediatric specialty trainees who are in GMC-approved training posts are required to be registered with the RCPCH, as set out in the Gold Guide (Reference Guide for Postgraduate Specialty Training in the UK). In order to be successfully registered with the RCPCH, all trainees will be required to pay a training fee. For more information on these fees please click here.
The College has a duty to review the progress of trainees and support where required, but also to ensure that eligible trainees can be recommended to the GMC for the consideration of award of CCT or CESR at the end of their specialty training.
- Once you have registered with the College, trainees will be given access to the essential ePortfolio and ASSET (Online Assessments) tools.
- It is highly recommended that those trainees who are in FTSTA or LAT posts also register with the College as these tools are useful to record progression, especially if considering applying to specialty training.
- Both ePortfolio and ASSET are available to those doctors who are not in approved training posts (use the form towards the bottom of this page). It is important that your educational supervisor or college tutor support your application.
You must join and register with the College in order to be able to access the systems.
