College structure

The RCPCH has about 130 members of staff, with work split across five divisions. Most staff work in our London office, and we also have a presence in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.

Structure

The Chief Executive's Office includes HR & Organisational Development and Media & External Affairs.

Each of the other divisions has a wide range of teams. The Education & Training Division covers examinations, training and assessment support, education provision and quality and standards. The Research & Policy Division includes clinical standards and quality improvement, workforce planning and children and young people's participation; it also houses the British Paediatric Surveillance Unit. The Corporate Services Divsion includes finance, facilities, information systems and governance. And, the Business Development Division covers international work, events, member services and print / digital communications. 

The Senior Management Team includes the Chief Executive, Divisional Directors and Head of HR & Organisational Development. 

The Executive Committee is the College's main decision-making body. It comprises Chief Executive and the Directors, as well as the President, four Vice Presidents, Registrar and Treasurer.

The Council is the College's governing body. It is made up of the President and Honorary Officers, elected representatives from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and elected representatives for trainees and associate members.
