Phase 2 application

Phase 2 of the BPSU application requires:

  • Process - SIMPLE .jpga detailed application 
  • the submission of the research questionnaire
  • details on costing and administrative support available
  • covering letters

Please read the applications guidelines before completion. Application forms must be submitted four weeks before the date of a BPSU Executive Committee meeting. Please check the application deadlines

Please note:

  • approval of Phase 1 does not mean that the Phase 2 application will be automatically accepted
  • reasons for rejecting at this stage will primarily be due to difficulties in answering research objectives or problems with a case definition
  • you may be required to attend the executive commitee to present your application
  • if the study is approved by the BPSU Executive, you will need MREC approval. Visit the National Research Ethics Service for further information
  • if the study is approved you will also need NIGB approval
