Safer Spinal (Intrathecal), Epidural and Regional Devices

The Public Health Link from the Chief Medical Officer for Wales was released on Monday 19 March 2012.  It includes two action points in relation to safer spinal (intrathecal), epidural and regional devices (MS Doc, 91KB, 3 pages).

Maternity services

A Strategic Vision for Maternity Services in Wales - This document sets out the Welsh Government's expectations of NHS Wales in delivering safe, sustainable and high-quality maternity services.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D - Advice on Supplements for at Risk Groups (PDF, 85KB, 6 pages) - The Welsh Government is aware that some of the UK population may be at risk of vitamin D deficiency. This is a concern, particularly for at-risk groups.  For example, pregnant women, infants and young children. Therefore, the Chief Medical Officer has issued advice on supplements for at risk groups.

NHS Wales

Together for Health - Together for Health is the Welsh Government's five-year vision for NHS Wales. It is based around community services with patients at the centre, and places prevention, quality and transparency at the heart of healthcare.
