MRCPCH examination awards

The College presents two awards to MRCPCH examination candidates based on highest scores. This year, we are delighted to award Dr Katie Mageean and Dr Lydia Harrington.

Dr Jisma Joseph Award for MRCPCH examination

This annual prize is awarded to the UK candidate with the highest score in the overall MRCPCH examination (theory and clinical examinations). The 2015 award goes to Dr Katie Mageean.

The Dr Jisma Joseph Award, which started in 2015, is presented each spring for the previous year’s MRCPCH examinations.

The College presents the awardee a certificate and a cheque for £200 at our Annual Conference. 

Lal Bahg Award for MRCPCH Clinical examination

This annual prize is awarded to the candidate with the highest score in the MRCPCH Clinical examination, and is donated by Colonel Moorthy. The 2015 award goes to Dr Lydia Harrington

The Lal Bagh Award, which runs from 2015 to 2024, is made in March for an MRCPCH Clinical examination in any diet of the previous calendar year.

The College posts a certificate and a cheque for £200 to the awardee.
