Overview  

The Paul Polani Research Award was established in 2007 in memory of Professor Paul Polani (1914-2006), who was the first director of the Paediatric Research Unit at Guy’s Hospital, where he was also Prince Philip Professor of Paediatric Research.

The award is administered on behalf of the College through the British Academy of Childhood Disability (BACD), who review the applications and recommend the winning applicant to the College. We encourage applications from people with a multi-disciplinary approach to Paediatric Neurodisability.

The award

  • research and innovation in Paediatric Neurodisability
  • research to build a robust evidence-base
  • provides the service to maintain and strengthen resources for children and young people with disabilities and their families

Teams or individuals (of any discipline) are invited to apply for up to £7,500 to pilot, undertake or complete research projects based in paediatric neurodisability.
