RCPCH governance
The governing documents of the RCPCH are the Royal Charter, the Bye-Laws, and the Regulations. Also included is the policy on accepting donations.
Governing documents
The Royal Charter was granted to the RCPCH in 1996 when the organisation was established as the successor to the British Paediatric Association. It sets out the RCPCH’s overall objects in improving child health.

Amending any of these documents requires the approval of both the College’s Board of Trustees, the governing body, and a General Meeting.
Standing Orders for the Conduct of General Meetings (PDF, 1 MB)
Amending the Royal Charter and Bye-Laws also requires approval from the Privy Council.
