COVID-19 and the London office

Our main office on Theobalds Road, central London is currently closed due to national restrictions. It was open one day a week from 22 September to late October. We will continue to monitor the situation. When we are able to open again, we have a risk assessment and screening questionnaire for all visitors to the building.

Background and updates

All our offices were closed as of 17 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and our entire staff have been working remotely. This has been a huge success and while the majority of staff will continue to work remotely in this period, we know some staff and members are keen to return to our London office.

We reopened the office for one day a week on 22 September 2020. We worked hard to ensure the building is COVID-19-secure and get the right systems in place to keep our staff and members safe, and developed a full workplace risk assessment based on current government guidance. To ensure we adhered to social distancing measures, we restricted staff numbers to about 15 per floor (maximum of 60 in the building). We also required that all visitors returned a screening questionnaire at least 24 hours before a planned visit.

Current status

As of 5 November 2020, the building is closed due to national restrictions in England.
