Overview 

This two-day course will provide participants with the skills and equipment to teach neonatal resuscitation using low technology methods and robust, portable equipment.

Learning aims, objectives and outcomes

  • Be able to facilitate a systematic, rapid situation analysis to identify neonatal resuscitation gaps and needs, opportunities and platforms, stakeholders and resources
  • Understand the components needed to develop a strategic plan among partners and stakeholders to implement and/or strengthen newborn resuscitation to sub-national/national level coverage
  • Be able to monitor and evaluate the process of implementation and outcomes of neonatal resuscitation

Audience

The session is designed to develop new Help Babies Breathe Master Trainers who will make a commitment to train global healthcare professionals in resource limited environments to provide the initial steps of neonatal resuscitation with an emphasis on The Golden Minute.

It is suitable for doctors, nurses, midwives and allied health professionals.
