This webinar is open to new and experienced paediatricians and paediatric trainees who are actively mentoring others.

This includes, but is not limited to, those members who have attended previous RCPCH Mentoring Skills courses, or who are registered as RCPCH Mentoring Champions. Those who have developed their mentoring skills elsewhere are also welcome to join the webinar.

About the webinar

Delegates will be able to share their experiences as mentors with other mentors, accessing both peer support and input from an experienced mentor and coach trainer.

The webinar will give you the opportunity to discuss:

  • any general comments on your mentoring practice to date
  • what mentoring practice you have done
  • how your mentoring sessions have been as a mentor
  • what challenges you have dealt with as a mentor.

It will also give you the opportunity to share top tips and things to avoid as a mentor.

You are welcome to book onto all mentoring skills peer support webinars and use them as your way of receiving mentor supervision.

Please do email us any queries in advance to mentoring@rcpch.ac.uk so we can tailor discussions accordingly.

Facilitator

The webinar will be facilitated by Matt Driver, one of the RCPCH Mentoring Skills course facilitators. Matt is an experienced mentor and coach, working with a wide range of individuals and organisations, including HEE (Health Education England) / deaneries and Health Boards and NHS and commercial sector staff.

If you register and are no longer able to dial in on your chosen date, please contact us in advance at mentoring@rcpch.ac.uk so we can release your space to another delegate.
