Register for training

All doctors in paediatric specialty training in the UK are required to register for training at the RCPCH. This enables us to monitor your progress and gives you access to ePortfolio and further resources to support your career.

We ensure that your training is kept under regular review and we are able to support you when required. We need to maintain records on your progression through your training and monitor the outcomes of your Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP).

If you are a paediatric trainee in a LAT (locum appointed for training) post, you are encouraged to register for training but it is not a requirement.

Our assessment tools are useful to record your progression, especially if you are considering applying to specialty training in the future. If you are a SpR (Calman trainee) who has reached your CCT (certificate of completion of training) on or after 31 August 2015, you must transfer to the 2010 curriculum and register for training.

RCPCH membership

You need to be an RCPCH member in order to register for training.
