While ultimate responsibility for the finances lies with the Board of Trustees, the Treasurer consults and advises the full Board, with the support of an external finance expert who sits on the Board, the Director of Corporate Services and other senior staff within the College.
The Treasurer chairs the Audit, Finance, and Risk Committee, which undertakes detailed scrutiny of the College’s finances, with a wider brief including items such as risk management, Health and Safety, large information technology projects and data protection / GDPR (although candidates do not need to be an expert in these areas).
A candidate must be:
- a Fellow of the RCPCH
- nominated by two Ordinary Members or Fellows.
Eligible candidates who have the required knowledge, skills and experience will be invited to attend an interview on Thursday 6 December 2018 at the RCPCH London office.
