Stepping Up Champions

Our Stepping Up programme supports the five year period from RCPCH START ( Progress+ ST7) to the end of year three consultancy. This page is for the regional Stepping Up Champions supporting the programme.

About

A regional network for senior trainees (post-RCPCH START ST7s and up) and new consultants (up to three years into consultancy) can help prepare senior trainees for the transition. It can also support new consultants working in an increasingly challenging working environment, improving morale and encouraging entrants to paediatrics longer term.

How to apply to become a Stepping Up Champion for your region?

Regions with vacancies will be listed here:

  • East Midlands
  • South West England

Please read our role description and eligibility requirements. You can download these below. To apply, please complete and submit the following documents to steppingup@rcpch.ac.uk:  

  1. Your CV.

  2. The Stepping Up application form, stating which region you are applying for.

  3. A statement of up to 250 words outlining the relevant experience and reasons for applying to the post.
