In this round, we have opportunities for Regional Leads and Deputy Regional Leads in East Midlands, North, Central and East London, North West London, South London, South West and Thames Valley. The Leads represent and advocate for RCPCH in their region. They facilitate communication with local members - sharing expertise and encouraging involvement in the College's work - and represent members' views externally, as well as support our influencing work to help ensure better child health outcomes.
A key part of these roles is to undertake scrutiny of the job descriptions and job plans for career posts, as part of the Advisory Appointments process. The term of office is three years, with possible extension for a further two years, and the time commitment about four hours per week (or 1 PA).
Other roles that we're now recruiting in England support training, such as Stepping Up Regional Champions (in East Midlands, East of England, Kent, Surrey and Sussex and Mersey), Principal Regional Examiners and Regional Representatives on the Less Than Full Time Training Advisors Committee. We're also recruiting for Regional Representatives on the Child Protection Standing Committee.
