Examinations update - Novel coronavirus

We are monitoring the ongoing issues with the outbreak of COVID-19, also known as novel coronavirus, and any impact on our examinations.

We are opening all planned test centres for application for the theory examination, Applied Knowledge in Practice 2020.2 (from 24 February). However, we caution candidates - particularly those who plan to sit in countries heavily affected by the outbreak, such as Singapore and Hong Kong - that test centres may be subject to last minute changes or cancellations.

On 10 February, we, in conjunction with advice and information from local Ministry of Health departments and in-country clinicians, took the decision to cancel the Foundation of Practice/Theory and Science examinations at test centres in Singapore and Hong Kong, which were due to take place on 12 February. This was due to measures in place to prevent the spread of the 2019-nCoV. This was communicated directly to affected candidates, along with further guidance for candidates sitting in other affected test centres.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update candidates as soon as possible if there are any further changes or updates.
