Around 100,000 doctors – trainees and trainers – are being asked to participate in the survey across all specialties. It’s held every year and is the largest annual insight into workplace education and training.
Questions cover areas including the quality of training; workloads and burnout; time available to deliver or receive training; access to break rooms and study spaces, and incivility and rudeness in the workplace. This year’s survey also includes questions about the impact of the pandemic.
The GMC have said:
we will act on the results in our work with our partners to safeguard the quality of training and to help training recover after the pandemic. That means that a wide variety of responses, across specialties and regions, is crucial.
