New placement for a trainee paediatrician in medical strategy and monitoring

The RCPCH and IQVIA have jointly developed a new one-year placement programme for paediatric trainees. Applications for the 2019-20 placement are now open until 11 February.

The successful appointee will gain key knowledge of paediatric medicines legislation, methods in drug development and paediatric clinical research, as well as the opportunity to present at national conferences and publish in peer review journals.

This role complements the RCPCH Progress curriculum in the research and patient safety / safe prescribing domains and learning outcomes.

Level 3 (ST6-8) GMC-registered paediatric trainees are eligible and can apply via the IQVIA website to experience a year in an organisation committed to harnessing advances in healthcare information, technology, analytics and human ingenuity to drive healthcare forward.

It is anticipated that this placement will be undertaken full time by a paediatric trainee on Out of Programme (OOP), and as such will need to be agreed with the relevant Head of School.
