RCPCH Conference and exhibition - what’s happening on the RCPCH stand?

Stop by the RCPCH stand in the main exhibition hall throughout the conference where staff will be on hand for a chat and to answer any questions plus we will be hosting special drop-in sessions on specific College projects.

Monday 13 May

10:50-11:40 - Medicines for Children and QI Central

Find out about two open-access, online resources from the College. Medicines for Children provides practical information for parents on paediatric medicines and has recently expanded its resources with a new mobile app. QI Central is a new platform which publishes peer-reviewed quality improvement projects submitted by users. Join us to learn more about what these resources can do for you and your patients!

13:00-14:00 - Child protection

All paediatricians have a responsibility to safeguard children’s welfare and know what to do if they have child protection concerns. Join us to find out about our essential resources and meet our Officer for Child Protection, Dr Alison Steele, who will be on hand to answer questions.

15:45-16:15 - Health for all Children 5

Meet Professor Emond, Senior Editor of Health for all Children 5 to discuss the ‘why’ and ‘what works’ of child health promotion, drawing on global evidence and relating learnings back to UK health services.

Meet the Workforce team to discover what the College is doing about workforce, who we are talking to, what are our recommendations for the future and how you can help.

The CPD Diary is moving to a new home in RCPCH ePortfolio from end June 2019. Get a first look, ask questions and find out what you need to do now in this lunchtime slot.

Find out how to make the most out of your ePortfolio - how to get the tool to do what you need it to do and the simple techniques to enhance your experience of this resource.

From the latest CPD opportunities to our global child health work and our Paediatrics 2040 project, staff will be on the stand throughout the three days to answer your questions. Plus there will also be a special RCPCH poster area showcasing the breadth of work the College does.
