The GMC today published their first survey of specialty and associate specialist and locally employed doctors. Dr Prakash Kalambettu, chair of the RCPCH’s Staff, Associate Specialist and Specialty Doctor Committee, comments on the findings.

The RCPCH is pleased to announce the results of the recent Vice Presidential elections. Dr Simon Clark has been elected Vice President for Health Policy and Professor Nick Bishop has been elected Vice President for Science and Research. They will take up their posts on 6 March 2019.

The General Medial Council has announced that all their fitness to practise decision makers, case examiners and clinical experts are to receive Human Factors training, and advice on modifying investigation processes, as part of a collaboration agreed with Oxford University’s Patient Safety Academy.
