RCPCH Conference and exhibition - virtual opportunities

Since the necessary cancellation of the face-to-face RCPCH Conference 2020, we are pleased to update you on opportunities to get involved online. These include a new ePoster platform and a Virtual Conference, with a launch event on 25 September and a series of live webinars with specialty groups.

This page was last updated on 22 May 2020.

ePoster platform

We'll be hosting a new ePoster platform, a free online resource for people to browse at their leisure.

If you were due to present a poster at Conference 2020, we'll contact you by the end of June on how to upload your poster to the platform. Your abstract will then be published this autumn in the online Archives of Disease in Childhood journal.

There will be no charge to to upload or view posters.

Oral abstract presentations and live specialty symposia

We're working with specialty groups and special interest groups to deliver their planned programmes via live webinars. These online specialty sessions will take place over a few weeks from late September to late October this year.

If you were due to give an oral presentation at Conference 2020, well contact you by the end of June with details of your webinar date and time. If you're unable to make this time slot, you'll be invited to send a pre-recorded version, or upload your work as a poster to our ePoster platform.

There will be no charge to view these live webinars, and if you can't make it to a session you'll be able to view a recording afterwards.

RCPCH Virtual Conference launch event

We'll be kicking off this series of online specialty sessions with a launch event on the afternoon of Friday. 25 September.

This will be free of charge and open to all, featuring a selection of reflections, keynote talks and presentations from this year's top scoring abstracts - all using the exciting Pecha Kucha format.

We're now developing the programme and will announce more details as they are available.

We will not be offering workshops online. The Conference Committee will instead be reviewing these at their next meeting to consider those which can be taken forward to be delivered as part of our 2021 conference next May.

We will be in touch with workshop organisers when further information is available.

All delegates have now been fully refunded for their ticket. For any queries relating to your refund, email the Conference team on conference@rcpch.ac.uk.

Further queries

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at conference@rcpch.ac.uk. We are conscious that there are likely to be questions which we may not have yet thought of, or are still exploring.

As we continue to explore the best way to support you, we would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation during these unprecedented times.
