RCPCH Conference and exhibition postponed - FAQs

On 10 March, we made the difficult decision to postpone our annual conference, which was scheduled to take place in Liverpool on 28-30 April, in light of public health concerns around COVID-19. We will provide a full refund of Conference fees to all registered delegates within three weeks of this date.

We will update this page as and when we have more information.

What if I’ve already bought a ticket?

There is no need to contact the College. We will be processing full refunds over the coming three weeks. You will be refunded in full to the card/account that was originally used to pay. If you do have questions, please email conference@rcpch.ac.uk.

Is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) also postponed?

The AGM, scheduled for 29 April as part of the Conference, is being postponed. The College has an obligation to hold the AGM within 15 months of the previous one, which took place on 14 May 2019.

To fulfil this obligation, an alternative date and venue for the 2020 AGM will be announced shortly. In finalising these alternative arrangements, we will seek to make the AGM accessible to as many members as possible.

What if I've already booked travel and/or accommodation?

Unfortunately the College is unable to reimburse any travel or accommodation costs incurred by delegates.

What if I was due to present an abstract?

We are currently working through what our options are to postpone the Conference. We hope to be able to offer our authors the opportunity to present their work at a future RCPCH Conference/event, and subsequently have their work published in Archives of Disease in Childhood, without having to resubmit their work.

At this moment we are unable to advise on when this event might be and what format it might take. This is something which the College is quickly working to establish.
