Free media training opportunity for Scottish members

Members interested in taking up media opportunities are invited to attend a free media training day in Scotland early next year.

Many of the College's members are approached by the media to provide expert comment on child health stories appearing on television, radio or in newspapers. To help ensure these members feel confident and comfortable giving these interviews, the RCPCH provides free media training days.

The next free RCPCH Media Training Day is being held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 28 March 2018*.

The session will take place at RCPCH Scotland on Queen Street, with members of the RCPCH Media and External Affairs Team, supported by an external agency.

The training will cover:

  • An overview of the media
  • Top tips for radio, television and print interviews
  • Practical ‘live’ TV and radio scenarios and role plays, tailored to you

The day will start promptly at 9.30am and will finish by 4.30pm.

All course materials, lunch and refreshments are provided. This course is free to members.

If you would like to attend, please contact lauren.snaith@rcpch.ac.uk or call Lauren on 020 7092 6067.

Media training days are also regularly held in London. To find out more email lauren.snaith@rcpch.ac.uk.

Please note: as the College covers the cost of the day itself, materials and lunch/refreshments, it is unable to pay member expenses.

*This course can only take place providing enough members express an interest.
