RCPCH Learning replacing Compass – frequently asked questions

Our learning platform has changed. RCPCH Learning brings together all our learning resources, including online learnings, webinars and podcasts, as well as course materials for delegates.

RCPCH Compass, our previous learning platform, is formally discontinued as of 31 July.

This page explains what members and other users of RCPCH Compass may need to do before 31 July, including to finish partially completed eLearning and download your learning records, certificates and course materials.
Why is RCPCH moving to a new learning platform?

RCPCH Compass, which has been in place for several years, has reached the end of its lifespan and an updated site is needed to meet current educational needs. We know from user feedback that Compass is no longer fit for purpose.

RCPCH Learning is our new platform, and it offers:

  • an improved look and feel, and user experience
  • an improved login, through our single sign-on (SSO)
  • an opportunity to constantly improve the user experience and provide new formats of learning.
Will I be able to access RCPCH Learning from my mobile or tablet?

Yes, RCPCH Learning is fully responsive to all device types, so an optimum experience regardless of the device you are using.

What will happen to RCPCH Compass?

Compass will remain accessible until 31 July 2022. After this time, it will be decommissioned and will no longer be accessible. Once it is decommissioned, all learning will only be available on RCPCH Learning.

Will my data be transferred from Compass to RCPCH Learning?

No, learning records and enrolled learning will not be transferred from Compass to RCPCH Learning.

Therefore, we advise that you download items you wish to keep before Compass is decommissioned at the end of July 2022. This may include:

  • certificates of completion/CPD certificates
  • learning records
  • course materials from enrolled pages.
