British Heart Foundation - Immediate Postdoctoral Basic Science Research Fellowships

To provide an opportunity for the most promising newly qualified postdoctoral researchers to make an early start in developing their independent cardiovascular research careers in an established institution in the UK.

British Heart Foundation - Intermediate Clinical Research Fellowships

Provides a career opportunity in an established research institution in the UK for individuals with an established research record who intend to become leaders in academic medical research.

Health Foundation - Fellowships

Provides five years of funding to enable talented clinicians to pursue academic research alongside their clinical practice.

Medical Research Council (MRC) - Clinical Research Training Fellowship (CRTF)

Supports clinically active professionals within the UK to undertake a higher research degree. The MRC collaborates with a number of Royal Colleges and charity funders to offer jointly funded Clinical Research Training Fellowship awards.

Medical Research Council (MRC) - Clinician Scientist Fellowship (CSF)

Develops talented medically and other clinically qualified professionals who have gained a higher research degree to lead their own research plans and establish their own research team to make the transition to independent investigator. Not available to individuals who hold a tenured academic position at the time of application.
