In August 2019 we responded to the Scottish Government's consultation on its Clinical Pathway for Children and young People who have disclosed sexual abuse.

In January 2019 we responded to the Scottish Parliament Equalities and Human Rights Committee consultation on the Children (Equal Protection from Assault) (Scotland) Bill. We support the proposal to abolish the defence of reasonable chastisement.

In May 2019 the RCPCH Child Protection Subcommittee (Scotland) responded to Equally Safe, a consultation on legislation to improve forensic medical services for victims of rape and sexual assault.

We have submitted evidence to NHS England on the populations of Health & Justice, Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) and Armed Forces in the Long Term Plan for the NHS. In developing our response, we have consulted with our Child Protection Standing Committee and the NSPCC.
