After my exam

The RCPCH will email your results five to six weeks after you sit the exam. You can also view these on your RCPCH online account. Requests for re-marks can be made within four weeks of receiving your results.

Receiving results

We will email candidates results for their theory examination five to six weeks after the examination has taken place. Candidates may view their results once ready on their website account.

Sign in to your online account, go to Account (in the website header), and to the tab, Exam Results.

It is not possible to issue results in person, by fax or telephone.

As computer-based testing is embedded in the College, we hope to reduce the time to issue results.

Requests for re-marking

You have four weeks from the day that your exam results are issued to request a re-mark. Any requests for a re-mark outside of this time period will not be heard.

The fee for re-mark requests in 2018 can be found here. Request received without the correct fee will not be considered.

To request a re-mark, please send:

  • a typewritten letter requesting a re-mark - include your full name, the examination you are requesting to be re-marked and RCPCH code number
  • a cheque for the re-mark fee, made payable to the 'Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health' OR your your credit/debit card details

Please send requests to:

Theory Exam Team - Examinations
Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
5-11 Theobalds Road
London WC1X 8SH

Candidates will normally be informed of the outcome of their re-mark within 15 working days of the day the request was received.

This may take longer depending on individual cases. We will send results of re-marks by post only.

Please note that this decision is final and marks the end of the process - no further correspondence will be considered. Candidates who have their marks changed resulting from a re-mark will have their re-mark fee returned and their results data will be updated within their records. A new results letter will be issued soon after the decision is made.

For more information on results or re-marks, please contact the Examinations Team.
