Overseas MRCPCH Clinical Examination. Important Update. Please read.

If you are considering applying for a place for any overseas MRCPCH Clinical examination please note the following.

It is possible that you may experience some issues with your online application at the payment/submission of application stage.

If you are presented with a message on screen that states ‘Payment Unsuccessful! Your transaction was unsuccessful please check your details’ please do not try again or attempt to reapply until you have checked the following.

  1. Please check your online exam account to see if your application has been correctly submitted. You will know that it has if your account states the following:
  2. Please check with your bank to see if the exam fee amount has been held/allocated/pending. If it has, please be assured that we do have not taken your payment. Please see below to see how our payment system works.
  3. Please take a screenshot of the page and email this to the Exams Team exams@rcpch.ac.uk
  4. If your online exam account status says ‘ready to book’ then we have not received your application/your application was not submitted.
  5. Please do not attempt to apply again for the exam you are experiencing issues with. Please wait until you have checked all of the above and contact the Exams Team first
  6. Please only send one email to us if you are having problems applying. Candidates who send a lot of emails with the same issue will only create more of a delay and it will take longer for the Exams Team to respond/help.

Funds allocated from your account in relation to your exam application does not mean that you application has been successfully tokenized. Please check your online exam account to check the status of your application.

Whenever you apply/submit payment details your bank will reserve the exam fee funds against your available balance and put the money to one side ready for the payment. If you submit applications multiple times this will result in additional funds being held and this may impact on the funds available in your bank account.

Your bank may hold these funds for 10 days (sometimes longer) at which point the money will automatically return to your available balance/account.

If you are in anyway unsure if your application has been successfully submitted to us please email us. Do not attempt to re-submit an application.
