Applying to become an examiner

We invite RCPCH members and fellows in substantive, consultant posts to apply as an examiner. We provide a comprehensive assessment and training programme.

The Examinations Team will not be recruiting any UK based MRCPCH/Generic examiners throughout 2018. Please refer back to this page towards the end of 2018 for more details.

About applying to become an examiner

Update my details / equal opportunities data

RCPCH examiner applicants and existing examiners will ideally have an RCPCH online account. If you do not have an account please click here for details on how to generate an account.

Once you are registered you can go to Update My Details to check and edit your details, including your work information, contact preferences and interests.

We strongly urge all examiners to complete the Equal Opportunities Section - this information is key to undertaking examination performance analysis. This link also provides information regarding how we use your data.

Involving children and young people

Children and young people play a crucial role in the running of both the MRCPCH and DCH Clinicals. They spend about four hours with us on the examination day, sitting in one of the rooms with an examiner and speaking with each exam candidate.

We invite families to get involved. We provide children with a certificate and vouchers.
