UK-WHO growth charts

The College produced a complete suite of charts for all uses ranging from child health surveillance to detailed monitoring of children with health problems, based on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Child Growth Standards.

The charts are accompanied by educational resources, including fact sheets, training presentations and how-to-use videos.

My Journal and Your Guide: recovering from childhood bacterial meningitis and septicaemia

These RCPCH-endorsed advice booklets produced by Meningitis Now and Meningitis Research Foundation, are hoped to improve the lives of thousands of youngsters who have had meningitis by offering reassurance to parents.

RCPCH’s Dr Alistair Thomson said, “Leaving the hospital and the watchful eye of medical staff can be a daunting prospect for families so these pioneering new resources will provide those coming to terms with their child’s diagnosis, with much needed reassurance, support and guidance.”

This innovative and evidence-based programme was developed by a team at the Mother and Infant Research Unit at the University of York. The Unit is known nationally and internationally for its research in maternal and infant nutrition.

An interactive and evidence-based tool designed to help clinicians assess acutely sick children using real-life clinical scenarios and footage. SSC is a collaboration by the University Hospital Leicester and OCB Media, and sponsored by the Department of Health.
