The State of Child Health: The Paediatric Workforce

The RCPCH report The State of Child Health: The Paediatric Workforce sets out key findings from the biennial paediatric workforce census. It makes recommendations for immediate action on a number of fronts to address workforce pressures and to ensure care for UK children remains the best in the world.

As well as using data from the RCPCH Workforce Census 2015, the report draws on the RCPCH Workforce Data and Policy briefing. All three documents are available below.

Previous censuses

The RCPCH (as the BPA) undertook its first census of the paediatric workforce in 1986 and has completed a biennial census since 1999.
