Ted was a founding member of the College and an elected member of the College Council for three years. He worked clinically as a paediatric cardiologist. As clinical director of paediatrics, he led the project to build a new children’s hospital. He chaired the College’s medical management committee when it published reports on reconfiguration and quality indicators.
In 2008, he authored a report on the future configuration of children’s specialist services for the government. He has been a hospital medical director and was chief inspector of hospitals for five years. Currently, he is chair of the Health Services Safety Investigations Body.
