Growth charts

Growth is an important indicator of a child's health. Our charts allow health professionals to plot and measure your child's height and weight from birth to young adulthood.
For boys and girls from 0 to 4 years, as well as babies who need close monitoring - and including the charts used in the Parent Child Health Record for new parents
For boys and girls from 2 to 18 years. Other charts available for children who need close monitoring (up to 20 years) and children with Down Syndrome
You can freely download low-resolution charts, and order print and digital copies from external suppliers.

Anyone who measures a child, plots or interprets charts should be suitably trained, or be supervised by someone qualified to do so.

Note: Our videos for health professionals on measuring techniques and using the growth charts, which were published about 14 years ago, have been removed. We apologise for any inconvenience. Our written guides continue to be available.

We have, for the first time ever, developed an API (application programming interface) to accurately calculate centiles for a child’s height, weight, head circumference and BMI for digital growth assessments.

Award-winning, gold standard and open source, our API will enable developers of electronic patient records to build apps and interfaces that give clinicians solid data to improve care, and parents online access to their child's growth records.
